You can find all your open orders under the "Open Orders" tab on the trading page. From this list you can cancel single orders, cancel all orders at once, and modify the price or quantity of a limit order.

Step 1: Find the "Open Orders" list on the trading page

This is where all your unfilled orders are shown. The path is the same whether you are on the web or in the app.

What to do: Go to the list of open orders for the trading pair you are looking at.

How to do it:

  • App: Open the OKX app, tap Trade at the bottom, and choose your pair (for example, BTC/USDT). Below the chart, tap the Open Orders or Unfilled tab.

  • Web: Log in to OKX, go to Spot trading or Futures trading. Find the order area below the chart or on the right side, and click the Open Orders tab.

What you should see: All unfilled limit orders and conditional orders for that trading pair, with columns like price, amount, filled amount, and status.

Step 2: Cancel orders — cancel one or cancel all

Cancelling is simple. You have two options:

How to do it:

  • Cancel a single order: In the Open Orders list, find the order you want to cancel and click the Cancel button (the × icon). Confirm the pop-up. The order disappears and the frozen funds return to your available balance immediately.

  • Cancel all orders: To clear all open orders for that trading pair at once, click ··· or More in the top right corner of the open orders list, then select Cancel All or Cancel All Open Orders. Confirm. All unfilled orders in that trading mode are cancelled within seconds. Note: Conditional orders (stop-loss, take-profit) need to be cancelled separately under the Conditional tab.

What you should see: The order is no longer in the Open Orders list. Any frozen funds or margin are released back to your available balance.

Step 3: Modify an order — change price or quantity of a limit order

You can only modify limit orders. Market orders do not stay open, so there is no modify option.

What to do: Change the price or quantity of an unfilled limit order.

How to do it: In the Open Orders list, find the limit order you want to change and click the Edit or Modify icon (pencil icon). Change the price or quantity in the pop-up and confirm. The system cancels the old order and immediately places a new order with the updated parameters.

Important: Modifying an order is actually "cancel and re-place". The new order gets a new order ID and loses its previous time priority in the order book — if you were near the front of the queue, you will now be at the back.

What you should see: The old order disappears and a new order appears in Open Orders, with the updated price or quantity and a different order ID.

Common mistake: Many people confuse "Open Orders" with "Order History". Unfilled orders only appear under Open Orders. The Order History tab shows filled and cancelled orders. If you see an empty list but think you still have open orders, check you are on the right trading pair — Open Orders only shows orders for the pair you are currently viewing.

How to check if it worked: After cancelling, go to Open Orders to make sure the order is gone and your available balance is correct. After modifying, check that the new order has the right price and quantity, and that the order ID is new. If the modify action is rejected, make sure your available balance can cover the margin requirement for the new order.
