How to Deposit SYRUP on OKX? Maple Finance Funding Tutorial
OKX has listed SYRUP's perpetual contract, not spot trading. If you want to hold SYRUP tokens directly, you need to swap them on a DEX using the OKX Web3 wallet, or purchase through channels that support fiat buying.
SYRUP is the token of Maple Finance, an over-collateralized lending platform for institutional borrowers. Here are several ways to fund SYRUP.
1. Scenario A: You want to trade SYRUP contracts on OKX
If you just want to trade on the price movements of SYRUP rather than holding the token itself, OKX's perpetual contract is the most direct way.
How to do it: Open the OKX App or website, and search for SYRUPUSDT in the derivatives market. OKX officially launched the SYRUPUSDT perpetual contract on July 3, 2025, supporting up to 50x leverage, with a minimum price tick of 0.0001 USDT, and a funding fee settled every 4 hours.
Prerequisites: You need USDT in your account as margin. If you don't have any, go to [Assets] → [Deposit] to deposit USDT.
Completion: After successfully opening a position, you can see your SYRUP contract position on the positions page.
2. Scenario B: You want to directly hold SYRUP tokens
If your goal is to hold tokens rather than trade contracts, OKX exchange itself currently does not have a SYRUP spot trading pair; you'll need to obtain them through other channels.
Option 1: Use OKX Web3 Wallet for on-chain swap
Open the Web3 Wallet inside the OKX App and make sure your wallet has ETH (SYRUP is an ERC-20 token, the Ethereum mainnet contract address is 0x643C4E15d7d62Ad0aBeC4a9BD4b001aA3Ef52d66, deployed on Ethereum mainnet). Note that SYRUP is also deployed on the Base chain, with different contract addresses across chains.
Use the Swap function in the wallet to exchange ETH for SYRUP. Always verify the contract address before trading.
Option 2: Use platforms that support SYRUP trading
Binance supports direct purchase of SYRUP with fiat currencies like USD or INR, offering a one-click buy feature.
Bitget also supports buying SYRUP via credit card, bank transfer, and other methods.
3. Common failure reasons and risk warnings
Failure reason: Confusing contracts and spot. Many users assume "OKX lists SYRUP" means spot trading, but it's actually a perpetual contract. If you buy directly in the contract market, you get a leveraged position, not the token itself.
Risk warning: Leverage risk of contract trading. The SYRUPUSDT contract supports up to 50x leverage, which amplifies both profits and losses. If you're unfamiliar with contract trading, it's recommended to learn the basics or practice with a demo first.
Verify the contract address. There are cross-chain versions of SYRUP on-chain, with different contract addresses on Ethereum mainnet and Base. Always check which chain's version you are transacting with before swapping to avoid mistakes.
How to confirm the operation is complete:
If you traded contracts, go to the OKX positions page to confirm your position is open. If you swapped SYRUP on-chain, go to the wallet assets page, switch to the corresponding network, and check the balance. If you bought directly on Binance or Bitget, check your spot account to confirm the deposit.
