Does OKX Have a Daily Limit on Deposit Frequency?
The deposit frequency limits on OKX depend on which deposit method you use. On-chain deposits (crypto transfers) generally have no daily limit on the number of deposits. Fiat deposits (e.g., bank transfers) may have daily or monthly transaction caps depending on the payment channel and your verification level.
Prerequisite: Identify your deposit method
Before checking frequency limits, clarify how you're funding your account:
On-chain deposit: Sending crypto (e.g., USDT, BTC) from an external wallet or another exchange to OKX via the blockchain network.
Fiat deposit: Depositing fiat currencies like USD or EUR via bank transfer, credit card, or P2P trading.
These two methods follow completely different limits.
Step 1: On-chain deposits – typically no daily limit on number of transactions
What to do: Confirm whether transfers from an external wallet to OKX are restricted by transaction count.
How to check:
The core restrictions for on-chain deposits are minimum amounts and network confirmations, not the number of transactions.
As long as your source wallet has sufficient balance and each transfer meets the minimum deposit requirement for that asset, you can initiate multiple deposits in a single day.
Note: If a single transaction falls below the minimum deposit amount, the funds cannot be credited and cannot be returned.
What counts as complete: You've verified the minimum deposit amount for the selected crypto and each transfer meets that threshold.
⚠️ The practical limit on on-chain deposit frequency comes from blockchain network capacity and your source wallet's restrictions, not from rules set by OKX. Sending many small transactions may result in slower processing during network congestion.
Step 2: Fiat deposits – daily caps on number of transactions may apply
What to do: Check whether your fiat deposit channel has a limit on the number of transactions.
How to check:
Fiat deposits are subject to payment channel and risk control rules, and may have daily, weekly, or monthly maximum deposit count limits.
For USD wire transfers, for example, the cumulative daily deposit cap for individual users is $500,000, with a maximum of 3 deposits per day (including both deposits and withdrawals).
Different channels have different frequency limits: ACH bank transfer limits vary per user, and the exact limits are displayed on your deposit page.
What counts as complete: You've checked the remaining available transactions for the selected channel on the deposit page and confirmed that your planned deposit stays within the limit.
Step 3: View your specific limits
What to do: Check your account's remaining deposit count and quota in the app or on the website.
How to check:
Open the OKX app, tap Assets → Deposit.
Choose your deposit method (fiat deposit or crypto deposit).
The page will show the remaining available limit and detailed quota information for that method.
Tap the Limit icon to view more details, including whether there is a limit on the number of transactions.
What counts as complete: You've confirmed the remaining number of allowed deposits and the remaining amount for the chosen channel, and you know your transaction will not exceed the limit.
Common reasons for deposit failures
You have reached or are close to the daily fiat deposit count limit: For USD wire transfers, the maximum is 3 per day. If you've already completed 3 deposits within 24 hours, the fourth will fail. You'll need to wait until the rolling period resets.
The deposit amount is below the minimum per-transaction requirement: Even if the frequency limit has not been reached, a deposit will fail if the amount is lower than the channel's minimum.
Insufficient KYC level restricts available transactions: Unverified or low-level accounts may face stricter limits on the number of fiat deposits. Upgrading your verification tier usually unlocks higher frequency and amount limits.
Important risk notes
Fiat deposit limits are calculated on a rolling cycle, not reset at midnight. For example, a 24-hour limit resets exactly 24 hours after a transaction is completed, not at 00:00 UTC.
Limits for different deposit channels are independent. Limits and transaction counts for wire transfers and ACH transfers are calculated separately and are subject to their own channel-specific restrictions.
How to confirm you understand your deposit frequency limits
Go to the OKX Deposit or Buy Crypto page and select the deposit method you want to use.
Carefully review the remaining number of allowed deposits and the remaining available amount displayed on the page. If both values are greater than zero and your deposit amount is below the cap, you can proceed. If the limit has been reached, the system will show "Limit reached" – you'll need to wait until the corresponding period (daily/weekly/monthly) rolls over before making another attempt.
