Where Is My Email After Signing In with Apple on OKX?

When you create an OKX account using Sign in with Apple, the email linked to your account is the one used for your Apple ID—not a separate OKX email. Sign in with Apple works as a one-tap authorization: you allow OKX to obtain your identity information through Apple, so the account is fundamentally bound to the email associated with your Apple ID. This email is mainly used for security verification (receiving verification codes, password recovery, etc.)—not for logging in. To sign in, you still choose "Sign in with Apple." If you want to see exactly which email is being used, follow the steps below.

Prerequisites

  1. You have successfully signed in to your OKX account using Sign in with Apple.

  2. You know your OKX login password (may be needed in later steps).

  3. You are using the OKX App (iOS or Android) or the web version.

Step 1: Go to Account Security Settings

App: Open the OKX App, tap the "grid" icon in the top-left corner of the home screen (or "User Center") → select [Security Settings].

Web: Sign in to the OKX website, click the "person" icon in the top-right corner → go to [Security Center].

If you are asked for two-factor authentication (2FA) after entering, complete it as prompted. This step confirms that you are the account owner.

Step 2: View the Bound Email

On the [Security Settings] or [Security Center] page, find the [Email] field. It will show your currently bound email address, but the address is usually masked (showing only the first and last few characters, with asterisks in between).

Tap the "eye" icon or the "Show full email" button next to the email field. The system will ask you to complete a security verification (SMS code or Google Authenticator code). After verification, you will see the full email address.

Completion criteria: The page clearly displays the full email address, and you confirm it is the email tied to your Apple ID.

Step 3: Cross-Check with Your Apple ID Email

On your iPhone, go to [Settings] → tap your Apple ID avatar at the top → check the primary email under [Name, Phone Numbers, Email]. Compare it with the email shown in OKX from Step 2. They should match.

Completion criteria: The emails in both places are exactly the same. If they differ, you may have manually changed the bound email in OKX before; in that case, the email displayed in OKX is the correct one.

Common Failure Reasons

Cannot complete security verification

If the system requires verification in Step 2 but your phone number is no longer active or you have lost access to Google Authenticator, click "Unable to verify" or "Other verification methods" on the page, then choose to reset your verification method via facial recognition or authorization from an already-logged-in old device.

Risk Notes

  • Do not try to "unbind the email": An OKX account must be bound to at least one email or phone number. The email cannot be removed—it can only be changed. If you want to replace the email used by Sign in with Apple, you need to go through the "change email" process, not a "delete" process.

  • 24-hour lock-up period: If you subsequently change your email, withdrawals, C2C selling, and DEX trading will be disabled for 24 hours after the change.

How to Confirm the Process Is Complete

After completing Steps 2 and 3, sign in to OKX again:

  1. Sign out of your current account.

  2. Return to the login page and select "Sign in with Apple."

  3. After authorizing and signing in, go to [Security Settings] and check the email—if it still shows the correct email and you can receive verification code emails normally, the email binding is correct.

If after signing out and signing back in the system asks you to bind a phone number—this is a normal security hardening process. Follow the prompts to bind it; it does not affect your Sign in with Apple method.
