After losing an old phone, the first and most critical action you can take is to immediately remove the lost device from the device management list and revoke its login authorization.

Binance's device management feature allows you to view and remove all authorized devices at any time, even if you no longer have that phone—as long as you can still log into your account.

Step 1: Log in to your Binance account

What to do: Find another trusted device (such as a computer or backup phone) and log in to your Binance account.

How to do it:

  1. Enter your account credentials on the browser or the Binance App on the new device.

  2. If two-factor authentication (2FA) is triggered, use a verification method you can still access (like email or Google Authenticator) to complete the login.

When is this step done: You have successfully logged into your account and can see the wallet or assets page.

⚠️ If you cannot receive SMS verification codes because the phone is lost, try using email verification or contact customer support through the "Can't verify?" path.

Step 2: Go to the "Device Management" page

What to do: Find the device management section in your account settings.

How to do it:

  • Web version: After logging in, hover over the profile icon in the top right corner, click [Security] or [Security] menu, and then find [Device Management] or [Devices].

  • App version: Tap the profile icon in the top left to enter [Account Center], then find [Device Management] under the [Security] menu.

When is this step done: You see a list of all currently logged-in devices.

Step 3: Remove the lost device

What to do: Find the lost old phone in the device list and delete it.

How to do it:

  1. In the device management list, identify the lost device by information such as "device model," "login time," and "IP address."

  2. Click the [Remove] or [Delete] button (usually an "×" or trash can icon) next to that device.

  3. Confirm the action as prompted.

When is this step done: The lost phone no longer appears in the device list.

⚠️ After removing a device, the app on that device will automatically log out. It cannot access your account again unless re-authorized via email.

Emergency measures

If, before removing the device, you suspect your account may have been compromised or you cannot log in, take the following additional steps immediately:

  1. Temporarily disable your account: Log in to Binance on another device, find the "Temporarily Disable Account" option in security settings, and immediately block all access.

  2. Reset password and 2FA: After logging in successfully, change your login password right away and re-bind your Google Authenticator or Binance Authenticator to generate new keys.

  3. Contact your carrier to suspend the SIM card: Immediately contact your mobile carrier to suspend the SIM card, preventing others from using your phone number to receive SMS verification codes.

  4. Contact customer support: If there is any suspicious transaction or you cannot complete operations, reach out via Binance's official live chat for help.

Common reasons for failure

  1. Unable to log in: If you cannot receive SMS codes due to the lost phone, try email verification or the "Can't verify" process. If 2FA is also lost, you will need to recover your account through facial recognition or by submitting a ticket to customer support.

  2. Deleting the wrong device: After removal, the device needs to be re-authorized. If you only intended to clear the cache, make sure you are deleting the correct device, not the computer or phone you are currently using.

  3. Not checking API keys: If the lost device was used for API trading (e.g., quantitative trading), in addition to removing the device, go to the [API Management] page and delete any API keys associated with that device.

Risk reminder

  • Removing a device will not automatically change your password. It is recommended to change your account password immediately after removal so that only you know the new password.

  • If you have not backed up your 2FA key (recovery code), you may be unable to reset 2FA after losing your old phone. It is advisable to write down the recovery code in advance and store it offline.

How to confirm the operation is complete

Go back to the [Device Management] page and check the device list. If the lost phone no longer appears, it has been successfully removed and can no longer access your Binance account.

If you are concerned about asset risk during the theft period, we recommend also checking [Assets] → [Transaction History] and [Withdrawal History] to confirm there are no abnormal transactions.
