If your grid bot has not traded for a long time, first check if the price has moved outside your set range. When the price breaches the limits, the bot will not chase it automatically. It stays paused, and you need to manually decide whether to stop the bot or adjust it.

Step 1: Check the Bot's Current Status and Why It Stopped
Go to the bot's order details page and check its status. If the price has broken through the upper or lower limit you set, the bot will pause placing orders and stay in a waiting state. Binance's grid bot only resumes when the price returns within the grid range.
What to do: In Trading Bots – [Spot Grid] or [Futures Grid], find your bot and click to view details. If the price is beyond the limits, the page will show the gap between the current price and the grid boundaries.
Completion standard: Confirm whether the price is above the upper limit or below the lower limit, and check the bot's current status.
Step 2: If the Upper Limit Is Breached – Price Has Gone Too High
When the price surges past the upper limit, your buy orders may have been fully filled, leaving you holding only the coin with no sell orders. The bot stops, but your position remains.
How to handle:
Wait for a price pullback: If you think this is just a short-term spike, wait for the price to return to the grid range; the bot will automatically resume.
Manual close: If you don't want to wait, click [Terminate] on the bot page and select [Auto-close positions]. The system will sell your holdings at market price and transfer the funds back to your Futures wallet.
Use the Move Up feature (only for USDⓈ-M Futures Grid): If the uptrend looks strong, you can enable the [Move Up] function, which shifts the entire grid range upward to capture more profits. Note: This feature must be set when creating the bot; you cannot enable it after the bot has started.
Step 3: If the Lower Limit Is Breached – Price Has Dropped Too Far
When the price falls below the lower limit, your sell orders may have all been filled, and you are left holding only stablecoins with no buy orders.
How to handle:
Wait for a bounce: If you believe the drop is temporary, wait for the price to climb back into the range; the bot will restart on its own.
Manual termination: If you don't want to wait, end the bot and choose auto-close to release your funds.
Use the Move Down feature (only for USDⓈ-M Futures Grid): In a downtrend, you can enable [Move Down] to shift the grid range lower and continue trading within the new range.
Common Reasons for Failure
The trading pair has lost liquidity: If the bot hasn't traded for a long time, it may not be just a price breach. The trading pair might have been delisted or its liquidity severely dried up. Binance regularly delists low-liquidity pairs, and when that happens, support for the grid bot is terminated. In such cases, the bot is stopped directly.
Grid density is too high: Too many grids mean each order amount is tiny, which might fall below the minimum notional value requirement, preventing orders from being placed. Futures Grid has a minimum notional limit; orders that are too small are automatically blocked by the system.

After Taking Action
Verification: Check if the bot status changes to [Working], or if it has been successfully terminated and the funds returned to your Futures wallet.
Next steps: If you chose to wait for the price to return, set a price alert so you don't miss a recovery or further trend. If you terminated the bot, consider widening the grid range when starting a new one, or enable the Move Up/Move Down feature based on the current market direction.
