How to Change Your Email on Binance After Google Sign-Up
For a Binance account created via Google login, the linked email is the email address of your Google account. To change to a new email, you follow the standard "change linked email" process. Your login method itself is not affected — you can still log in with Google, or use the new email and password to log in.

Here are the complete steps. You will need access to your currently linked email and phone number for verification.
Prerequisites
You are already logged into your Binance account (using Google login or email + password).
Your account has completed identity verification (KYC). Unverified accounts may not be able to proceed.
You have enabled at least one method of two-factor authentication (Google Authenticator or SMS verification). 2FA is required to change your email.
The new email address has not been linked to any other Binance account.
Step 1: Go to Security Center and Find Email Management
App:
Open the Binance App, tap the [Account] icon at the bottom right, then go to [Security Center] (or [Account Security]).
On the security settings page, find [Email] or [Email Management] and tap to enter.
Web:
Log in to the Binance website, click the profile icon at the top right, then go to [Security Center].
Find the [Email] option and click the [Change] button.
Completion criteria: You have entered the email change page and can see your currently linked email address.
Step 2: Verify Your Current Identity
The system will ask you to verify your identity using your existing security methods:
SMS verification: A code will be sent to your linked phone number. Enter the 6-digit code you receive.
Current email verification: A code will be sent to your currently linked email. Enter the code from the email.
If your current email or phone number is unavailable, click the "Security verification unavailable?" link on the page to go through the verification reset process.
Completion criteria: Both verifications are passed, and you proceed to the "Enter new email" step.
Step 3: Enter Your New Email and Complete Verification
In the [New Email Address] field, enter the new email you wish to link.
Click [Send Verification Email]. The system will send a verification email to the new address.
Log in to your new email and find the verification email from Binance (check your spam/junk folder if not in inbox).
Click the verification link in the email, or enter the 6-digit code from the email to confirm.
Completion criteria: The new email verification is successful, and the system displays "Change successful" or "Submission successful".
Step 4: Confirm Submission and Note the Effective Time
Different Binance service regions may have different activation mechanisms:
Scenario A: Instant activation
For some users, the new email takes effect immediately after submission. The old email becomes invalid right away and can no longer be used for login or account recovery.
Scenario B: Cooling-off period
In some cases, Binance imposes a 24-hour cooling-off period — after submission, you must wait a full 24 hours for the update to take effect. During this period, the old email can still receive notifications but cannot be used for login.
Completion criteria: The page shows a clear activation notice ("Activated" or "Will take effect in X hours").
Step 5: Log Out and Log Back In After the Change
Log out of your Binance account (you can also use "Manage Devices" to log out from other devices).
Log in again using the new email + password to confirm you can receive login verification codes normally.
If you still prefer logging in with Google, that method remains unaffected.
Completion criteria: You can successfully log in with the new email, and the email in your account information has been updated to the new address.
Common Failure Reasons
"Insufficient account permissions" message when trying to change
The most common reason is that the account has not completed KYC identity verification, or two-factor authentication (2FA) is not enabled. Complete identity verification in the Security Center and enable Google Authenticator or SMS verification before retrying.
Risk Reminders
Withdrawal functions may be restricted for 24-120 hours after the change: After changing your email, to protect account security, withdrawals, C2C sales, transfers, and other functions may be suspended for 24 hours to 5 days.
Double-check the new email before submitting: Once the change is successful, the old email becomes invalid immediately. All login, verification codes, password recovery, etc., will be directed to the new email.
Operate in a safe environment: Make sure you are using the official Binance app or website (www.binance.com). Do not use third-party links.

How to Confirm the Process is Complete
After the change, log out of your current account, and log back in with the new email + password to confirm you can receive login verification codes normally.
If the page shows a cooling-off period is required, watch for an activation notification email from Binance in your new inbox. After the cooling-off period ends, try logging in and receiving a verification code again. Ensure everything works as expected before you begin trading.
