Let's start with the entry point: Binance keeps API permissions and operation logs in different places. Permissions are set on the API Management page, while operation logs are found in your spot/futures account under [History] or [Transaction History] by filtering for "API" type.

Check API Permissions: Go to API Management Page to See Key Configuration
To see which features an API Key currently has enabled (such as trading, withdrawals, and IP restrictions), follow this path: Log in to Binance website → click your profile icon in the top-right corner → API Management (or "API 管理") → find the Key you want to check, click "Edit restrictions" or "Edit permissions". The page will show the list of enabled permissions.
The specific permission fields include:
enableReading – read access (most third‑party tools need this)
enableSpotAndMarginTrading – spot and margin trading
enableWithdrawals – withdrawal permission (high risk; usually keep it off)
enableFutures – futures trading
enableInternalTransfer – transfer between master and sub‑accounts
enableMargin – cross margin permission
permitsUniversalTransfer – universal transfer interface permission
Risk reminder: Do not enable withdrawal (enableWithdrawals) or internal transfer (enableInternalTransfer) permissions lightly. Most third‑party tools only need "read" or "spot trading" permission. Never use an API Key with withdrawal permission for any unnecessary connections – if the third‑party service is compromised, your funds could be transferred out directly.
View API Operation Logs: Filter "API" in Your Account Transaction History
To see what operations a specific API Key has performed (balance queries, orders, withdrawal requests, etc.): Binance App → bottom‑right [Me] → [Assets] → [History] or [Transaction History] → in the filter, look for "Source" or "Type" and select "API" or "API call". This will show the key's call history. On the web version, you can go to [Wallet] → [Transaction History] or [Spot Order History] and filter by API source.
Binance does not currently have a dedicated "API operation log overview" page. All operation records are merged into the corresponding account's transaction history and order history, distinguished by the "Source" field (manual vs API call).
Common Mistakes People Make
Many people confuse the "API permission page" with the "API operation log page", thinking you can see what a Key has done inside API Management. In fact, API Management only shows the current permission settings and the key's creation time. You have to go to transaction history to find actual operations. Another common issue: when creating an API Key, users think the "read‑only" option includes checking balances and orders, but "read" permission is separate from "trading" permission. You only need to enable "read" for read‑only access, without turning on any permission that could affect funds.

Next Steps
Check all Key permissions in API Management every 3 months to make sure no unnecessary permissions are accidentally enabled. If a Key is no longer used, delete it rather than disabling it, to prevent accidental reactivation. Also, regularly filter your transaction history by "API" type to spot any calls you didn't make – if you see an unusual source IP, delete that Key immediately and reset your account's 2FA.
