Why Downloaded Binance Transaction History Shows Incorrect Time
The time in your downloaded transaction history likely doesn't match because exported trade history defaults to the UTC+0 time zone. If you're in a different time zone (such as UTC+8), the timestamps you see will naturally be several hours off from your local time.

What's the Time Zone Difference?
Users in different regions may see different time zone settings. According to the help centers for various Binance regions:
Most regions (including the global site): The downloaded spot trading history is displayed in the UTC+0 time zone by default.
Binance Thailand (Binance TH): Downloaded history defaults to the UTC+7 time zone.
If your downloaded records show times in UTC+0 and you are in UTC+8 (e.g., Beijing time), there is an 8‑hour difference. For example, 00:00 in the records corresponds to 8:00 AM Beijing time.
Differences Between the Two Export Methods
Binance handles exports for different time ranges differently:
Case A: Downloading records from the past 6 months
The data is generated instantly, and you download a CSV or Excel file directly. You can export up to 10,000 records at a time.
Completion criteria: After you click [Export], the file downloads immediately. Once opened, you'll see times in the UTC time zone.
Case B: Downloading records older than 6 months
Because of the large data volume, the system needs to generate a historical report. You'll receive an SMS or email notification. You can generate up to 5 reports per month, and the download link is valid for 7 days. Each report can cover up to one full year of data.
Completion criteria: In [Trade History] – [Export Trade History], select [All Time] and submit the generation request. Once the system finishes processing, download the file via the notification link.
Other Reasons Why the Time May Not Match
API vs. web export differences: Some older transactions (e.g., data prior to September 2022) may not be retrievable via API and can only be obtained through a web‑based CSV export. In such cases, the time ranges of API data and CSV data differ, which can easily lead to the mistaken impression that the time is wrong when reconciling.
Data refresh delays: Some historical data (such as daily candlestick data) may experience delays; the complete data for the current day is usually updated only after UTC 00:00.

How to Verify
After exporting a transaction record, first check whether the timestamps in the file include a time zone identifier (e.g., +00:00 at the end). If it isn't explicitly marked, the default is usually UTC+0. Once you confirm this, you can perform a uniform time zone conversion locally in Excel or Sheets.
