Yes, you can manually exit your position before ADL is triggered. ADL is a system mechanism that forcibly closes profitable positions to cover losses from counterparty liquidations. Once ADL activates, your position will be "taken over" by the system, and you will not control the final execution price.

Which option you pick between market close and limit order before ADL happens depends on how much time you have left to act.
Scenario A: Your ADL indicator is lit 4+ bars
The ADL indicator (1 to 5 bars) on your position panel shows your real-time priority in the ADL queue. The more bars that are lit, the higher your position ranks in the queue.
If 4 or more bars are lit, your ADL priority is already very high. Do not hesitate, choose market close directly. A pending limit order may never get filled before ADL kicks in, and the system will close your position at the bankruptcy price, which is far worse than your set limit price. While market orders may have slight slippage, you get full control over the execution price, instead of being settled forcibly at the system's bankruptcy price.
[Action Goal]: Manually exit your position before ADL is executed.
[How to Do It]: Click "Market Close" on the position panel, the system will execute the order immediately at the current market price.
[Completion Check]: Your position disappears, the ADL indicator goes out, and the realized profit in your account matches the price you closed your position at.
Scenario B: Your ADL indicator is only lit 1-2 bars
This means you rank low in the ADL queue and there is no immediate urgency. You can choose to place a limit order at your desired target price and wait for it to get filled gradually. Note that ADL ranking is dynamic: if the market keeps moving in your favor and your floating profit ratio rises, your ADL rank can jump up at any time.
[Action Goal]: Place a limit order to exit at your expected price, while keeping an eye on changes to your ADL rank.
[How to Do It]: Select "Limit Order" on the close position interface, enter your preferred execution price and position size, then submit the order and wait for a fill.
[Completion Check]: The limit order gets filled, or you switch to a market close order immediately if your ADL rank rises to 3 or more lit bars.
After ADL triggers, your position will be closed at the bankruptcy price of the liquidated counterparty, which is usually far from the current market price, and no trading fees will be charged for this forced close. If you manually exit via a market order in advance, you will pay regular trading fees, but the execution price follows real market conditions, which is almost always more profitable than being closed out passively via ADL.

Verification Steps After Operation
After you complete manual close, go to your order history and find the corresponding trade record. If the record shows "Market/Limit Close" instead of "ADL" or "Auto-Deleveraging", that means you successfully exited your position before the system executed ADL.
