How to Deposit MNT on OKX? Mantle Funding Guide

Depositing MNT on OKX comes down to two scenarios. If you already hold MNT in a wallet and want to move it in, picking the right network is crucial — Mantle is a Layer 2 network and MNT is its native token. If you don't own any MNT yet, buying directly on OKX with USDT is the fastest route and avoids the risk of choosing the wrong cross-chain network.

1. Confirm where your MNT is and which network it's on

What to do: Determine whether you haven't bought MNT yet, already have it on OKX, or hold it in an on-chain wallet, and identify the exact network it's on.

How to do it:

Case A: You don't own MNT yet. No deposit needed — just buy it on OKX. Open the OKX app, search for the "MNT/USDT" trading pair, and place an order using USDT. OKX supports bank transfers, credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, PayPal, and other fiat on-ramps to fund your account first.

Case B: Your MNT is already in your OKX account. No further action required. If you want to move it to an external wallet, follow the withdrawal process.

Case C: Your MNT is in an on-chain wallet (e.g., OKX Web3 Wallet, MetaMask). MNT is the native functional token of Mantle Network, an Ethereum Layer 2. Open your wallet and check the current network. If it's Mantle Mainnet, select the MNT network when depositing. The OKX Web3 Wallet natively supports Mantle Network; you can switch to Mantle with one tap to manage your MNT assets.

When it's done: You've confirmed "which network my MNT is on."

Prerequisites: Your OKX account must complete identity verification (KYC). Deposits are not available without KYC.

Common reasons for failure: Some exchanges only allow MNT withdrawals from Mantle L2 or Ethereum L1. If your MNT is on Ethereum Mainnet, you cannot directly select Mantle Network for deposit on OKX without verifying whether OKX supports deposits from that specific network. The same token can have different addresses on different chains. Always make sure the network option on the deposit page matches the network your wallet is using.

2. Deposit MNT from an on-chain wallet to OKX

What to do: Transfer MNT from your wallet into your OKX exchange account.

How to do it:

  1. Open the OKX App, tap Assets at the bottom, then select Deposit.

  2. Search for "MNT".

  3. Choose the network: Based on your check in Step 1, select the matching network. If the MNT is on Mantle Mainnet, choose the MNT network. OKX's deposit rule: the network you choose must be exactly the same as the withdrawal network in your wallet, or your assets will be lost.

  4. The page will display the deposit address and the minimum deposit amount. If your transfer is below this minimum, the funds will not be credited and cannot be recovered.

  5. Copy the address and open your wallet to initiate the transfer. Confirm that your wallet network matches the selected network.

Important note: The Mantle Super Portal will be temporarily suspended from July 9 to 15, 2026, due to migration to Chainlink CCIP. If you transfer MNT via a cross-chain bridge during this period, you may experience delays. Once the migration is complete, related transfer functions will be restored automatically; no manual action is required.

When it's done: The transfer has been submitted and your OKX Assets page shows a "Depositing" status.

Prerequisites: You have an MNT balance in your wallet and enough gas fees — Mantle Network requires MNT as gas.

Common reasons for failure: Using the wrong network. MNT is the native token of Mantle Layer 2, not an ERC20 token. While MNT also exists on Ethereum, sending it to OKX via the wrong network will result in permanent loss of funds.

Risk reminder: Blockchain transactions are irreversible. For your first deposit, it's strongly recommended to send a small test amount first. Once confirmed, transfer the remainder.

3. Buy MNT directly on OKX (if you don't hold any yet)

What to do: If you don't own MNT, purchase it directly on OKX with USDT. This saves you the trouble of cross-chain deposits and gas fees.

How to do it:

  1. Make sure your account has USDT. If not, fund it first via bank transfer, credit card, or P2P trading.

  2. Go to TradeSpot, and search for "MNT/USDT".

  3. Place a market order for instant execution, or set a limit order at your desired price.

  4. After the trade is filled, MNT will appear in your spot account.

OKX spot trading fees are 0.08% for makers and 0.10% for takers.

When it's done: Your spot account shows an MNT balance.

Prerequisites: Your account has completed KYC and holds sufficient USDT. Bank transfers typically take 1–3 business days to process.

Common reasons for failure: Searching for "MTN" instead of "MNT". MNT is the ticker for Mantle's token. Don't confuse it with other similarly named tokens.

4. Withdraw MNT from OKX to an external wallet

What to do: If you bought MNT on OKX and want to store it in your own wallet.

How to do it:

  1. Go to AssetsWithdraw, and search for MNT.

  2. Enter your external wallet address (a Mantle network address).

  3. Select the correct network: Choose the MNT network. Your wallet must support Mantle Mainnet.

  4. Confirm the amount and network fee, then complete verification.

The OKX Web3 Wallet natively supports Mantle Network; no manual RPC configuration is needed.

When it's done: The withdrawal status shows "Completed" and MNT appears in your external wallet.

What to do next:

  • You already have MNT on-chain: Follow Step 2. Be aware of the Mantle Super Portal suspension window. If cross-chain bridging is involved, try to avoid that period. Before depositing, check the minimum deposit amount for the chosen network on the OKX deposit page.

  • You don't hold MNT yet: Follow Step 3. Buying with USDT is the simplest option — no need to worry about networks. Just search for MNT/USDT on OKX and place your order.
