The first step to deposit AXS to your OKX account is confirming which blockchain network your AXS tokens are stored on. AXS is natively an ERC-20 token issued on Ethereum, but there is also an independent AXS token deployed on BNB Smart Chain (BSC). OKX primarily supports deposits via the Ethereum ERC20 network, and selecting the wrong network during deposit may lead to permanent fund loss.

1. Confirm which network your AXS is on

What to do: Before initiating any deposit, clarify which network your held AXS is stored on, as this determines which network option you need to select on the OKX deposit page.

How to do it:

Scenario A: Your AXS is on Ethereum Mainnet. AXS is the native token of the Axie Infinity ecosystem, issued on the Ethereum blockchain as a standard ERC-20 token, with contract address 0xbb0e17e...40327b28b. Open your crypto wallet to confirm the connected network is Ethereum Mainnet.

Scenario B: Your AXS is on BNB Smart Chain (BSC). AXS also exists as a BEP-20 standard token on BNB Smart Chain, with its independent BSC contract address being 0x715d400f88c167884bbcc41c5fea407ed4d2f8a0. If the AXS in your wallet is on the BSC network, you cannot directly use OKX's ERC-20 deposit channel.

Scenario C: You do not hold any AXS yet. You do not need to make an on-chain deposit, you can directly buy AXS on OKX using USDT.

Completion standard: You can clearly confirm whether your AXS is on Ethereum Mainnet, on BNB Chain, or you do not hold any AXS at all.

Prerequisite: Your OKX account has completed identity verification (KYC), and deposits are not allowed for unverified accounts.

Common failure causes: AXS has a native Ethereum version and an independent BSC version. If you transfer BSC AXS to OKX's Ethereum deposit address, your funds will be permanently lost.

2. Deposit AXS to OKX from your on-chain wallet (ERC20)

What to do: If your AXS is stored on Ethereum Mainnet, follow the steps below to transfer it to your OKX exchange account.

How to do it:

  1. Open the OKX App, tap the Assets tab at the bottom, then select Deposit.

  2. Search for "AXS" in the token selection box.

  3. Select the network: Choose Ethereum (ERC20), which is the correct official channel for native AXS.

  4. The page will display your exclusive AXS deposit address and the minimum deposit amount. If you deposit an amount lower than the minimum threshold, your funds will not be credited and cannot be retrieved.

  5. Copy the deposit address, open your crypto wallet, confirm the connected network is Ethereum Mainnet, paste the deposit address, confirm the required Gas fee, then submit the transfer.

This transfer will consume ETH as network Gas fee.

Completion standard: The transfer is submitted successfully, and you get the unique TxID (transaction hash) for this on-chain operation.

Prerequisite: Your wallet has sufficient AXS balance, and enough ETH reserved to cover the Gas fee.

Common failure causes: Even if your AXS is on Ethereum Mainnet, if you select BSC or other non-ERC20 networks on the OKX deposit page, the network mismatch will make your funds impossible to credit to your account.

Risk reminder: All blockchain transfers are irreversible. For first-time operations, it is recommended to transfer a very small amount as a test first, confirm the test amount is credited successfully, then transfer the remaining AXS.

3. Directly buy AXS on OKX (if you do not hold any AXS yet)

What to do: If you do not have existing AXS in your external wallet, buying AXS directly on OKX with USDT is the most convenient option, no complicated on-chain deposit operations required.

How to do it:

  1. Make sure your OKX account has available USDT balance. If not, you can first fund your account via bank transfer, credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay or other supported on-ramp methods.

  2. Navigate to Trade - Spot, then search for the "AXS/USDT" trading pair.

  3. Select a market order for immediate execution, or set a limit order at your desired price and wait for the order to be filled.

Completion standard: Your spot account page shows the updated AXS balance after the order is filled.

Prerequisite: Your account has completed KYC verification, and you have sufficient available USDT balance.

Common failure causes: You may select the wrong trading pair when searching for AXS. Confirm that you are opening the "AXS/USDT" spot trading pair on OKX before submitting your order.

Recommended next steps:

  • You already hold AXS on Ethereum Mainnet: Follow the operations in Step 2. Confirm you have selected "Ethereum (ERC20)" as the network on OKX's deposit page before transferring, send a small test amount first, then transfer the rest after confirming successful arrival.

  • You already hold AXS on BNB Chain: OKX's AXS deposit channel may not support BSC network. If there is no BSC network option on the OKX AXS deposit page, you need to bridge your BSC AXS back to Ethereum Mainnet first via a trusted cross-chain bridge, then follow the operations in Step 2.

  • You do not hold any AXS yet: Follow the operations in Step 3, buying AXS directly with USDT is the simplest solution with no network compatibility issues.
