Robinhood Chain is an Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain that launched its mainnet on July 1, 2026. It is a separate system from the brokerage account in your main Robinhood App: on-chain assets are self-custodied by you, while the stock and crypto balances in the main App will not change because of this chain.

This Chain Is Not the Same as the Robinhood Main App
Robinhood Chain is operated by Robinhood Digital Assets, LLC, built with Arbitrum Nitro technology, settles to Ethereum, and uses ETH for gas. Its positioning is to host tokenized real-world assets, especially stock tokens and ETF tokens.
The key boundary is this: on-chain operations do not require a Robinhood brokerage account. Any EVM-compatible wallet can connect, including MetaMask, imToken, Gem Wallet, and others. You keep your private keys and assets in your own wallet, and Robinhood does not custody your on-chain balances.
Conversely, stock holdings, crypto balances, and portfolios in the main App will not appear in your on-chain wallet. The two do not affect each other.
Mainnet Parameters and Wallet Configuration
If you need to add this network manually to an EVM wallet, you will need the following information:
Network name: Robinhood Chain
Chain ID: 4663 (mainnet)
RPC URL:
https://rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.comCurrency symbol: ETH
Block explorer:
https://robinhoodchain.blockscout.com
Robinhood Wallet supports this chain natively, so no manual configuration is needed. If you already use Robinhood Wallet, you can connect directly.
The testnet is still available. Its Chain ID is 46630, and its RPC is https://rpc.testnet.chain.robinhood.com. Testnet tokens have no value and are only for development.
On-Chain Assets: Stock Tokens, Stablecoins, and Meme Coins
All assets on Robinhood Chain are standard ERC-20 tokens. There is no separate "Robinhood standard." Your Ethereum address is your address on this chain, and assets arrive at the same address.
Stock tokens are the flagship asset of this chain. Each token is backed 1:1 by the corresponding stock held by a custodian, tracks the real stock price through Chainlink oracle feeds, and trades 24/7. Currently it covers more than 190 US stocks and ETFs, available to eligible users in more than 120 countries and regions outside the United States. Token holders get economic exposure and dividends, but they have no voting rights and do not directly hold legal ownership of the underlying shares.
For stablecoins, USDG is the main settlement asset, accounting for about 78% of the stablecoin supply on the chain. You can lend stablecoins on the Morpho protocol through Robinhood Earn. As of August 2026, the USDG vault yield was about 6.3% APY.
Meme coins contributed most of the trading volume in the early period. As of early September 2026, trading pairs made up of meme coins and stock tokens accounted for about 68% of on-chain trading volume. These pairs let meme coins use stock tokens as liquidity assets, forming a pattern that is uncommon on other networks.
Restrictions for US Users
If you are in the United States, stock tokens are not available. Stock tokens are derivatives that track stock prices, not actual stocks. Offering such instruments to US retail users would raise unresolved US securities regulatory issues. Robinhood chose to launch in markets with clearer regulatory paths, such as under EU frameworks, and excluded the United States.
But other parts of the chain are open to US users: token trading on Uniswap and Pleiades, lending on Morpho, perpetual contracts on Lighter, deploying contracts, and cross-chain bridges. These operations do not check nationality, and any wallet can use them.
If you are outside the US, you need to confirm whether your region is on Robinhood's published list of eligible jurisdictions. The availability of stock tokens depends on local regulatory frameworks and Robinhood's compliance arrangements. It is not globally uniform.
Level of Technical Centralization
The "permissionless" nature of this chain mainly refers to access and development, not full decentralization. Robinhood operates the only sequencer, which orders and packages transactions and performs compliance screening at that layer. Transactions involving sanctioned addresses may not be included in blocks. Validators are currently permissioned, with only two whitelisted fraud-proof challengers.
Arbitrum co-founder Steven Goldfeder publicly acknowledged the sequencer centralization issue and said a decentralized sequencer could improve censorship resistance without changing Arbitrum's fraud-proof mechanism. On September 4, 2026, the chain experienced a block production outage of about 14 minutes, directly showing the risk of a single sequencer.
Upgrades are controlled by a 7-of-8 multisig, meaning 7 of the 8 key holders must agree for a protocol change.
Cross-Chain and Withdrawal Notes
To move assets from other chains into Robinhood Chain, you can use the official Arbitrum bridge or partner bridge paths. Some third-party bridge services may support faster routes, but you need to verify the contract addresses and the reliability of the bridge provider yourself.
Withdrawing from Robinhood Chain back to Ethereum mainnet through the official bridge has a challenge period of about 7 days. This means your ETH or tokens will take about a week to arrive during the bridging process. If you need immediate liquidity, this time window will affect your capital planning.
Risk Warnings
Sequencer centralization is the most direct structural risk of this chain. The sequencer is controlled solely by Robinhood. A single point of failure could cause brief network outages, and compliance screening could also affect the inclusion of specific transactions.
Custodian risk for stock tokens is not visible on-chain. Token value depends on the solvency of the issuer and custodian, and this information is not in on-chain data.
Meme coin trading dominates on-chain activity, and meme coin volume can shrink quickly when market interest shifts. If your strategy depends on on-chain liquidity, you need to watch the sustainability of trading volume rather than only looking at peak data.
US users have no compliant path to buy stock tokens. Any channel claiming to bypass restrictions through VPNs or "no-KYC mirrors" means violating terms of service or buying from an unconstrained seller who has no obligation to deliver anything.
