You are opening a DApp in your phone browser. You tap "Connect Wallet," then the page jumps to your wallet app — and then it gets stuck. You do not know how to go back to that DApp, and you do not know whether the transaction was approved or not.

For same-phone jump approval, the core idea is simple: after scanning a code or tapping a link, your wallet will show an authorization screen. You tap "Confirm," and in most cases you need to manually switch back to the browser before the DApp refreshes and shows that it is done.
Step 1: Know which connection method you are using
On mobile, there are two main ways to connect to a DApp, and the steps are completely different.
Case A: You chose "WalletConnect" on the DApp page, and a wallet list popped up
You tapped "Connect Wallet" in the DApp, selected "WalletConnect," and then chose your wallet from the list. At this point, your phone will automatically jump to that wallet app.
[What to do]: Complete the connection authorization in the wallet app
[How to do it]: After the wallet app opens, a connection request screen will appear. It shows the DApp name and the permissions requested. Check carefully that it is the DApp you were using, then tap "Connect" or "Approve"
[Done when]: The wallet screen shows "Connected" or jumps back to the DApp
After this step, most wallets will not automatically send you back to the browser. You need to manually switch back to your phone browser, then refresh the DApp page. The page should now show your wallet address.
Case B: You are using the wallet app's built-in DApp browser
Wallets like Trust Wallet and imToken have a built-in browser. You enter the DApp URL directly there, tap "Connect Wallet," and the wallet automatically recognizes the currently logged-in address. No jumping back and forth is needed.
[What to do]: Complete connection and transactions inside the wallet's built-in browser
[How to do it]: Open the wallet app, switch to the "Browser" or "DApp" tab at the bottom, and enter the DApp URL. After entering, tap "Connect Wallet." The system will let you choose which address to use. Tap "Confirm" and you are done
[Done when]: The DApp page shows your wallet address in the top right corner
Step 2: If you jump to the wallet page but nothing pops up
You jumped from the browser to the wallet app, but the wallet is blank and no authorization box appeared.
Common cause: The wallet's WalletConnect feature did not fully initialize, or an old session from a previous connection is still there.
What to do:
First close the wallet app completely. Swipe it away from the recent apps screen to fully exit
Reopen the wallet, go to Settings, find "WalletConnect" or "Connected Sites," and delete all old connections there
Go back to your phone browser, refresh the DApp page, and tap "Connect Wallet" again to start over
High-risk reminder: Do not approve wallet connections in public places or on shared screens. Once you tap "Approve," the DApp can see your address balance and can initiate transaction requests. If a stranger is nearby, they might memorize your address or even watch your operation steps.
Step 3: If you tapped "Approve" but the DApp page keeps spinning
This usually means the DApp did not receive the callback signal from the wallet. The WalletConnect protocol relies on public relay servers to pass messages. If the relay node is unstable or your network blocks WebSocket connections, it can get stuck.
What to do:
Keep the wallet app open in the foreground and wait 5-10 seconds
If nothing happens, switch back to the browser and refresh the DApp page — this is the most effective trick. After refreshing, the browser will query the WalletConnect session status again. Once it sees the approval, it will immediately show the connection as successful
If it still does not work, turn off WiFi and switch to mobile data, then try again
Done when: The DApp page shows your wallet address, and the grayed-out "Connect Wallet" button has changed to your address or a "Connected" status.

Next: Approving transactions follows the same logic
After connecting successfully, when you do a swap or approval in the DApp, the same "browser to wallet" jump will happen. Every time you tap "Confirm" in the wallet, remember to switch back to the browser and manually refresh to see the updated transaction status.
How to verify the connection is complete: Check the top right corner of the DApp page and confirm you can see your address. If not, swipe up from the bottom to open the multitasking view, manually switch back to the browser, and refresh the page — this solves the problem in 95% of cases.
