Where to Find Binance’s Restricted Coins List? A Guide to Regional Access

Binance does not keep one fixed list of all restricted coins. The restrictions change based on your country of residence, KYC status, and the specific product you want to use. There are two simple ways to check: look at the latest trading pair announcements, or log in and search directly in the Binance app.

According to Binance's official rules, each time new trading pairs are listed, the announcement includes a list of restricted countries. Binance has clearly stated that users in places like Canada, Cuba, Iran, the Netherlands, North Korea, Syria, the United States and its territories, Crimea, and non-government-controlled areas of Ukraine cannot trade certain new pairs. This list is updated whenever regulations change.

Step 1: Check the Restricted Country List in New Trading Pair Announcements

The goal is to find the list of restricted countries for the most recent batch of new trading pairs. Go to the "Announcements" section on Binance's official website and search for "new trading pairs" or "Trading pairs". At the bottom of each listing announcement, there is usually a "Restricted Countries/Regions" section. The areas listed there cannot trade that specific batch of pairs. Once you read that section, you will have the exact restricted list for that listing.

Step 2: Use the App to Check if a Specific Coin Is Restricted

The goal is to log into your account and directly see if a coin is available to you. Open the Binance app, go to the spot trading page, and type the coin's name into the search bar. If it does not appear or shows a message like "Not available in your region", that coin is restricted in your location. This is usually a regional restriction, not an app problem. This method confirms whether you can trade that coin on your account.

Risk Warning

Do not use a VPN to bypass restrictions and register or trade from a restricted area. Binance's terms of service strictly forbid this. If you are caught, your account may be permanently frozen and your funds may not be recoverable. Even if you are in a supported country, some products (such as Futures, Earn, or Staking) may still be unavailable due to local regulations.

Common Search Results Explained

If the search result shows the coin exists but you cannot trade it, it means your region restricts that coin or trading pair, but your account itself is normal.

If the app shows "Not available in your region" or does not display the coin at all, that coin or service is not supported in your current place of residence. This can be due to local laws or Binance compliance changes.

Common Reason for Access Failures

Many people think that once KYC is passed, all products become available. However, Binance has two separate systems: one for "registration eligibility" and one for "product visibility". You may have completed account verification, but some features can still be hidden because of regional product restrictions. This is not an account problem; it is a region-level product limit.

Next Steps

If you need to confirm whether a certain coin is available in your region, the safest way is to search for it directly on the app's trading page. If it does not appear, look up the official announcement for that coin's listing and check whether the restricted area list includes your location. If you find that your country or region is now restricted, or if Binance has exited your market, transfer your assets to a self-custody wallet as soon as possible and watch for the "withdrawals-only" grace period that Binance sometimes opens for exiting regions.
