If your price alert didn't go off, the most common reason isn't the alert itself — it's that your phone's system settings are blocking Binance notifications. The next most likely causes are that the alert has expired (Binance alerts are valid for 90 days), or you're not using the Binance Pro interface. Follow this order to troubleshoot: first confirm the alert is still active, then check the App notification settings, and finally check your phone's system permissions. This should help you pinpoint the problem.

First, confirm if the alert itself is still valid
Binance price alerts have hard limits: each trading pair can have up to 10 alerts, and the total number of alerts across your entire account cannot exceed 50. Each alert is valid for 90 days. After that, it automatically expires and will not trigger. If you set the alert more than three months ago, it has likely already expired silently.
Also, Binance's price alert feature is only available in the Binance Pro interface. If you're using the simplified or basic interface, the alert entry may not exist at all, or the behavior after setting may be inconsistent. To check: go to your profile page in the App and see if there's an option to switch to Binance Pro, or go to the Markets page and check if there's an "Alerts" icon in the bottom left corner.
The alert settings are located on the Markets page of the Binance App: search for a trading pair, enter the K-line (candlestick) page, and you'll find the alert icon in the bottom left corner. Tap it to create or view existing alerts. Here you can see the status, target price, and remaining validity of each alert. If the alert is still in the list and hasn't expired, continue checking the notification chain.
Check the notification toggle inside the Binance App
There is a master switch inside the Binance App that controls price alert push notifications. Go to Account Center → Settings → Notification Preferences, find "Price Alerts" under the "App Push" group, and make sure it is turned on. If this switch is off, you won't receive any push notifications on your phone even if the alert conditions are triggered.
The official Binance help page also contains an important note that deserves serious attention: the price alert feature "cannot guarantee immediate delivery." In cases of personal network congestion or poor network conditions, you may not receive alerts or may receive them with a delay. Binance "reserves the right to send notifications and has no obligation to send them." This is not just boilerplate — it means that even if all your settings are correct, pushes may still be delayed or lost due to network or server-side issues. So don't rely on price alerts as your only means of monitoring the market.
Phone system permissions are a more common blocker
If the in-app switch is on, the problem is most likely at the phone system level. The troubleshooting path differs between iOS and Android.
iOS: Go to your phone's "Settings → Notifications → Binance", and make sure "Allow Notifications" is on, and that at least one of Lock Screen, Notification Center, or Banners is checked. If "Allow Notifications" is off, no matter what you set inside the App, you won't receive any push notifications.
Android: Go to "Settings → App Management → Binance → Notification Management", confirm that "Allow Notifications" is enabled, and expand the specific categories to check whether price alert-related subcategories have been individually turned off. Some Chinese Android systems (Huawei, Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, etc.) also require you to additionally allow Binance to run in the background and auto-start. Otherwise, the system will freeze the process after the App goes into the background, and pushes cannot be delivered. Power saving mode or "ultra power saving" may also directly block push notifications, so check whether Binance is restricted in the battery settings.
There is another easily overlooked point: Do Not Disturb mode. iOS's Do Not Disturb and Android's Do Not Disturb will silence all notifications, including Binance. If you had Do Not Disturb enabled during the time the alert should have triggered, the notification may have been suppressed until after Do Not Disturb ended, or it may not have shown a banner at all.
Network environment and proxy effects
If you are using a VPN or network proxy, the push channel may be interfered with. Android push notifications rely on Google Play Services (FCM), and some proxy configurations can block FCM connections, preventing pushes from arriving. Temporarily disabling the proxy for testing is the cheapest step in the process of elimination. On Chinese Android phones without Google Service Framework installed, FCM push notifications simply cannot work. On such devices, you can only rely on email notifications as a backup, or accept the fact that in-app push notifications are unavailable.
How to verify which layer the problem is at
The most direct test method: set the alert target price near the current price (for example, within 0.1% above or below the current price), create a short-term valid alert, then lock the screen and wait. If the phone doesn't react at all, the problem is in the notification chain (system permissions, App switch, or network). If the phone pops up a notification but you didn't notice it, the problem is in the notification format (silent, banner disabled, notification collapsed). If the alert shows as triggered in the alert list inside the Binance App, but the phone didn't receive a push, then it's almost certainly a system-level or App notification switch issue.
If you've checked all of the above and it still doesn't trigger, clear the Binance App cache, log in again, and set a short-term test alert. If the problem persists, use the customer service entry in the Binance App to submit a ticket, including your alert parameters, phone model, and system version, so that customer service can verify from the server side whether the push was sent.
