There is no public dedicated application page or submit button for Binance market maker qualification. Applicants need to prove their eligibility with trading volume, send an email to mmprogram@binance.com or contact your key account manager for manual review by Binance. Thresholds and assessment rules vary greatly across different product lines, we break down each application path below.

First confirm which product line you want to apply for

Binance's market maker program is not a single unified project, it covers at least 3 separate tracks: futures, fiat, and spot liquidity provision. Different product lines have different entry thresholds, mixing them up will easily lead to misjudgment.

Futures market maker has the highest threshold with the clearest public rules. Fiat market maker has a lower entry barrier, targeted at fiat trading pairs. The public information for the spot liquidity provider program is relatively outdated, some rules may have been overwritten by subsequent updates, so refer to it with caution.

If you haven't confirmed your target track, first check which product your trading volume is concentrated in: go for the futures track if you have large futures trading volume, go for the fiat track if you mostly trade fiat pairs. You can apply for both tracks at the same time, but their review and assessment processes are completely separate.

Futures Market Maker: Thresholds and Assessment

Binance's futures market maker program has two descriptions for trading volume requirements that appear in different language versions of the same official FAQ. The Chinese version states "30-day spot trading volume exceeds 1,000 BTC or futures trading volume exceeds 3,000 BTC", the English version uses the exact same 1000 BTC spot or 3000 BTC futures standard. Pricing by BTC means the threshold floats with BTC price, with no fixed USD amount. A separate USDS-M futures market maker announcement updated in November 2025 gives a more specific USD threshold: 30-day futures trading volume is no less than 100 million USD equivalent, or 30-day spot trading volume is no less than 20 million USD equivalent to be eligible to apply. This announcement has a later update date, which standard is applied depends on Binance review team's actual judgment of your application materials. A safe rule of thumb: if your trading volume is at or above 100 million USD in futures or 20 million USD in spot, you meet the basic application requirement; if your volume is far below this level, your chance of passing review is very low.

There is only one formal application method: send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., attach your trading volume proof. The proof can be a screenshot of your Binance account, or a trading volume screenshot from other exchanges. If you have a dedicated key account manager, you can also contact them directly.

After your application is approved, the USDS-M futures track will first grant you a 4-week no-assessment period, during which you can enjoy Tier 2 maker fee discounts. After the no-assessment period ends, you will enter a weekly assessment cycle.

The core assessment metric is the share of your weekly maker trading volume in Binance's total weekly maker trading volume of the corresponding market. Taking USDS-M futures as an example, there are two paths to get Tier 1 rebates: first, your weekly maker volume share for BTC and ETH pairs reaches 0.10%; second, your weekly maker volume share for all pairs excluding BTC and ETH reaches 0.05%. Binance calculates results once per week, qualified users get the corresponding tier of maker rebates. The official FAQ also lists maker order volume, bid-ask spread, total order amount, order duration and market making hours as factors included in the comprehensive evaluation, but the quantifiable share threshold given in the announcement is the hard requirement in actual operation, other factors only serve as auxiliary judgment.

Rebates are issued in the form of maker fee cashback, not as an extra one-time bonus. Your maker fee rate will be adjusted to a negative value, meaning you receive rebates for every completed maker order. The exact rate depends on the tier you reach and the latest rate table at the time, Binance updates the rate table every week.

Fiat Market Maker: Lower Threshold Entry Track

If your trading volume cannot meet the futures track requirement, the fiat market maker track is a more realistic entry point. The application condition is clearly stated: if you have 30-day trading volume over 20 million USDT equivalent on Binance spot and margin, or other trading platforms, and you have a formal liquidity provision strategy, you can send an application email to the same address This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to apply for a probation period, or contact your sales representative.

Assessment is also based on weekly maker volume share. Take the USD fiat market as an example: Tier 1 requires 0.5% weekly maker volume share, Tier 2 requires 1.0% weekly maker volume share; the corresponding maker fee rates are -0.005% and -0.010% respectively. Tier requirements for different fiat markets may vary, refer to the latest rate table provided by Binance when you apply.

One exit rule for the fiat track deserves extra attention: you will be removed from the program if you fail the assessment for 3 consecutive weeks. The futures track announcement does not explicitly state the same 3-week rule, but that does not mean the futures track has no similar elimination mechanism, it just means the rule is not covered in current public official documents.

Easily Overlooked Difference: Auto Enrollment vs Manual Application

The spot liquidity provider program once had an auto-enrollment rule: users whose weekly maker trading volume meets Tier 1 requirements will be automatically added to the program. But this information was released in August 2024, and Binance has made multiple adjustments to the market maker program since then. There is no confirmation from current official pages that the auto-enrollment rule still applies. If you find your account received market maker fee rates without sending an application email, you may be in the auto-enrollment group; if not, follow the manual application path, do not wait for the system to identify you automatically.

Practical Checks Before You Apply

Before sending your application email, verify two things first. First, your trading volume proof must be verifiable. The screenshot must clearly show account ownership, time range and exact trading volume number. Binance review team will judge if you meet the threshold based on your materials, blurry screenshots or proof that cannot be linked to your specific account will be rejected and you will be asked to supplement materials. Second, you need to be able to sustain the assessment standards long term. Market making rebates are not one-time rewards, they are recalculated every week. If you only hit high trading volume for one single month and cannot sustain the volume share later, you will lose rebate eligibility right after the no-assessment period ends. The 4-week no-assessment period for the futures track gives you a buffer, but your performance after the 4th week determines if you can stay in the program.

If your trading volume is far below the threshold, the more practical path is to first increase your maker trading volume share on your target product, instead of sending an application that will most likely get rejected. The core logic of market maker qualification is to prove you can consistently provide liquidity with your existing trading volume, not get the qualification first then generate volume to meet requirements.
