Why Is My Binance Deposit Showing a Smaller Amount After Being Credited?
If your deposited amount on Binance is less than the amount you sent, it is almost never an extra fee charged by the platform. You can quickly identify the source of the difference using the following common reasons.
On-Chain Miner Fee Deduction
If you initiate a deposit transfer via a public blockchain, the on-chain miner fee that you need to pay for the transaction is deducted directly from the cryptocurrency principal you are sending. This is the most common reason for the shortfall.
Withdrawal Fee Deduction by the Sending Platform
Some users withdraw from other platforms to Binance, and the sending platform's default withdrawal fee is deducted directly from the withdrawal principal. The final credited amount is the remainder after that fee has been taken.
Staged Fee Deduction for Certain Tokens
When depositing some niche tokens, the multi-round node confirmation process on the public blockchain may deduct small verification fees step by step, resulting in a final credited amount that is less than the amount you initially sent.
You can go to the detail page of your Binance deposit history, look up the on-chain transaction hash for that transfer, and compare it with the transaction details on a blockchain explorer to accurately verify where all the fees went.
