How to Troubleshoot a LINK Transfer That Has Not Arrived in Your Binance Account?

If your LINK deposit to Binance has not arrived, first use the TxID to check its status on Etherscan or BSCScan to confirm if the transaction shows Success on the blockchain. If the on-chain transaction is marked successful but no corresponding record appears in your Binance account, the issue is usually caused by insufficient block confirmations (32 required for ERC20 LINK) or a wrong network selected when initiating the transfer.

1. First confirm which network you selected for the deposit

What to do: Go back to the platform (wallet or exchange) you sent LINK from, and confirm the network you chose when you initiated the withdrawal.

How to do it:

LINK is a multi-chain deployed asset, and Binance currently supports LINK deposits via Ethereum (ERC20) and BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) networks only.

Scenario A: You used the Ethereum (ERC20) network. This is the standard mainnet network for Chainlink. You should select Ethereum (ERC20) on Binance's deposit page for this transfer, and you can proceed with the following checks for this scenario.

Scenario B: You used the BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) network. LINK also supports transfers on the BSC network. You should select BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) on Binance's deposit page for this transfer, and you will need to use BSCScan for status checks.

Scenario C: You used other networks (such as Polygon, Arbitrum). Binance does not support LINK deposits on networks other than ERC20 and BEP20 for now. Funds will not be credited automatically in this case, and you need to contact Binance customer support for follow-up processing.

Completion standard: You clearly confirm which network (ERC20 or BEP20) your LINK transfer was sent on.

Prerequisite: You can log in to the sending platform to view historical withdrawal records.

Common failure cause: Many users assume LINK only runs on the ERC20 network. If you send LINK on the BSC network but select ERC20 as the deposit network on Binance, the two networks will not match and your funds will not be credited automatically.

2. Get the TxID from the sending platform

What to do: Copy the TxID (transaction hash) of this transfer to query its real on-chain status.

How to do it:

Withdraw from an exchange: Log in to the withdrawal platform, go to the withdrawal history section, find the corresponding LINK transfer, and copy its TxID.

Send from an on-chain wallet: Open your crypto wallet, locate the record of this LINK transfer, and copy its TxID.

A valid TxID is a 64-character hexadecimal string starting with 0x.

Completion standard: You have obtained the correct TxID of this transaction.

Prerequisite: The sending platform shows the transaction status as "Completed" instead of "Processing". If it is still being processed, wait until it is marked as completed before checking.

3. Check the transaction status on the corresponding blockchain explorer

What to do: Use the copied TxID to look up the real on-chain status of this transfer on the matching blockchain explorer.

How to do it:

For ERC20 (Ethereum network) transfers: Open Etherscan (etherscan.io), paste the TxID, and confirm the transaction status is Success.

For BEP20 (BSC network) transfers: Open BSCScan (bscscan.com), paste the TxID, and confirm the transaction status is Success.

No matter which network you use, you also need to check the number of block confirmations:

  • ERC20: Binance usually requires 32 block confirmations before crediting the deposit to your account
  • BEP20: Binance usually requires 15 block confirmations before crediting the deposit to your account

If the number of confirmations has not reached the required threshold, you only need to wait patiently.

Completion standard: You confirm on the corresponding explorer that the transaction status is "Success" and the number of block confirmations meets Binance's requirement.

Prerequisite: You have obtained the valid TxID from step 2.

Common failure cause: Since LINK is deployed on both ERC20 and BEP20 chains, using the wrong explorer will return a "transaction not found" error. Use Etherscan for ERC20 transfers and BSCScan for BEP20 transfers.

4. Check Binance's deposit record and platform network status

What to do: If the on-chain transaction shows Success and the number of confirmations meets the requirement, but the LINK has still not arrived in your Binance account, check Binance's deposit history and its node sync status.

How to do it:

  1. Open the Binance App, go to [Wallets] - [Deposit History] to find the corresponding LINK deposit record:
    • If the record shows "Pending Confirmation" or "Processing", it means Binance's node is still syncing blocks, and you just need to wait for the process to finish.
    • If there is no corresponding record at all, you may have selected the wrong network or entered the wrong deposit address.
  2. If the Binance App shows "Node sync delay", this issue usually resolves automatically within 5-15 minutes.
  3. You can long press the "On-chain Status" area on the deposit history detail page in the Binance App, then select [Request Sync] to force the system to pull the missing block data.

Completion standard: You confirm the corresponding record exists in Binance's deposit history, and its status is not stuck on "Processing".

Prerequisite: You have confirmed the on-chain transaction is successful in step 3.

Common failure cause: Binance node sync delay. If the number of on-chain confirmations far exceeds the minimum requirement but Binance still shows "Processing", you can try the manual request sync function.

5. Use Binance's self-service recovery channel or contact customer support

What to do: If you have confirmed all steps above are correct but the LINK still has not arrived after more than 2 hours, submit an application via Binance's self-service fund recovery function.

How to do it:

Eligibility requirements for Binance's self-service recovery function:

  1. The on-chain transaction status must be marked as "Confirmed/Successful".
  2. More than 1 hour has passed since you initiated the deposit.

Operation steps:

  1. In the Binance App, go to [Help Center] → [Submit Ticket] → select "Asset Issue" → "Deposit not received".
  2. Paste the TxID, deposit time, full name of the selected deposit network (Ethereum Mainnet or BNB Smart Chain) and full name of the crypto asset (Chainlink).
  3. Upload the screenshot of the transaction page on the blockchain explorer, make sure to highlight the "Status: Success" mark and the number of block confirmations.

If the self-service recovery channel cannot process your request, contact Binance human customer support directly and provide the following information:

  • Your Binance account email
  • Asset name (LINK)
  • Exact deposit amount
  • TxID of the transaction
  • The network you selected for the transfer (ERC20 or BEP20)

Completion standard: Your application is submitted successfully and you get a unique ticket number.

Prerequisite: You have confirmed the on-chain transaction status is Success in step 4.

Risk reminder: If you selected a mismatched or unsupported network, your assets may have been sent to an incompatible chain that Binance cannot automatically receive. This situation requires manual processing by the support team, and 100% fund recovery is not guaranteed.

Next steps: Follow the steps in order now: first confirm the network you used for the transfer, get the TxID → check the transaction status on the corresponding explorer (Etherscan or BSCScan) to confirm it is Success and the number of confirmations meets the requirement → check your Binance deposit history for the record. If the on-chain transaction is successful but Binance still has not credited your deposit after 2 hours, submit a support ticket with the TxID attached. The total processing time depends on the manual support queue length."}
