The OKX withdrawal address book and whitelist settings are located under AssetsWithdrawAddress Book. After adding the addresses you want to use to the address book, simply turn on the "Address Whitelist" mode switch at the top right corner of the same page.

The difference between the two: The address book is a "contact list" where you store your frequently used withdrawal addresses, while the whitelist is a security switch. Once the whitelist is enabled, your account can only withdraw to addresses already saved in the address book — you cannot manually enter a new address.

How to Find It (App)

Open the OKX App → tap Assets at the bottom → Withdraw. After choosing the coin and network, under "Destination" select Address Book. Inside the address book page, tap the Address Settings icon at the top right corner. There you'll see the "Address Whitelist Mode" toggle and your list of saved addresses, giving you access to the whitelist settings.

Adding an Address to the Address Book

Before turning on the whitelist, save the withdrawal addresses you plan to use into the address book. On the address book page, tap Add Recipient → choose the recipient type and matching network → paste the address → enter an address name (for easy identification) → Save Address.

Turning Whitelist Mode On or Off

In the address book's Address Settings, toggle the Address Whitelist Mode switch on or off. When turning it off, the system will require two-factor verification via email and phone to confirm it's really you.

Risk Reminder: With the whitelist mode on, if you want to withdraw to a new address, you cannot enter it manually — you must first add it to the address book. Additionally, if you have enabled the advanced "Withdrawal Lock for New Addresses" setting, a newly added address cannot be used for withdrawals for 24 hours.

Tip: Adding "Verification-Free" Addresses

When adding an address to the address book, you can set a "verification-free validity period":

  • 30 Days (Default): Within 30 days after being added, withdrawals to this address do not require extra security verification. If you use the address for a withdrawal during that time, the validity period automatically extends by another 30 days. If you don't use it for 30 consecutive days, the verification-free status expires, and future withdrawals will require verification again.

  • Permanent: If set to "permanent verification-free", all future withdrawals to this address will skip verification steps.

Common Mistakes That Cause Errors

If you see an "address incorrect" error when adding an address, it's usually because the wrong network is selected (for example, pasting an ERC20 address into a TRC20 network field), or because a coin that requires a tag (like XRP) is missing its tag.

Next Steps

After saving your commonly used withdrawal addresses in the address book, it's recommended to turn on the whitelist in Address Settings — this is an effective security lock. If you need to send funds to a new address temporarily, remember to add it to the address book first.
