Your referral code must be filled in before you click the "Sign Up" or "Create Account" button. Once you submit your registration, the system will not give you any chance to add or correct the referral code later.
Step 1: Fill in the Referral Code
Locate and fill the referral code input box in the OKX 2026 registration process: On the OKX App or web registration page, after you enter your email/phone number and set your account password, you will usually see an optional input field labeled "Referral Code (Optional)" or "Inviter ID". Some interfaces hide this field by default in a collapsed section, you need to click to expand it to see the input box. Confirm the correct referral code is entered before moving to the next step. If you open the registration page via a referral link, the system may auto-fill the code for you, but we do not recommend relying fully on auto-fill: manually double check to make sure the correct code with no extra spaces is shown in the field.
Risk reminder: You cannot add a referral code after your account is registered, this is a fixed system rule. Once you skip the field or enter the wrong code, there is no appeal channel to add it later. Spend a few seconds checking before submission, and only click the sign up button after you confirm all details are correct.
Step 2: Submit Your Registration
Complete other verification steps and submit: After confirming the referral code, finish the slider verification or enter the verification code sent to your email/phone, then click the "Sign Up" or "Create Account" button. You will finish the process when you see a registration success prompt, or get redirected to the identity verification (KYC) guide page.
Common issues that cause missing referral code entry
- Missed the optional field: Some registration pages collapse the referral code input box for a simpler interface, new users may skip it directly and end up not filling in the code.
- Trying to re-register to fix the mistake: Some users think deleting their account and re-registering can make up for the missing referral code, but re-registering with the same phone number or ID info may trigger platform risk control restrictions.
