OKX rolled out a wallet upgrade on March 27, 2025, and generated new deposit addresses for all users. After the update, old addresses do not stop working right away. According to the official statement, old addresses can still receive assets during a transition period. Your transactions will not be affected.
Step 1: Check if the deposit page has been updated
Log in to the OKX app or website, go to [Assets] - [Deposit], and choose the coin you want to deposit. If you see an "address update" notice at the top of the page, your new address has already been created. Copy the new address and use it.

Step 2: Update the whitelist address on external wallets or exchanges
If you saved your old OKX deposit address on other platforms (such as Binance or MetaMask), change it now. OKX recommends completing the address update within 3 months to keep future deposits smooth and safe.
Common mistake: Some people think old addresses stop working immediately after the update, but they can still receive funds during the short transition period. However, if you do not update them, old addresses will become invalid after the transition period ends. Depositing to an old address at that point may result in lost funds.
About unsupported networks: OKX no longer supports USDT deposits via the BSC (Binance Smart Chain) network. If you send USDT to OKX over BSC, the assets cannot be credited and will become "non-tradeable assets." Always check that the network you choose is supported on the OKX deposit page before sending.
How to verify the change: After you get the new deposit address on the OKX deposit page, go to your frequently used external wallet or exchange, and replace the whitelist or saved address with the new one. If you previously sent a small test amount to the old address and it arrived successfully, the old address will still work during the transition period. But while you still remember, the safest move is to change it now.
