If the withdrawal status remains "Processing" for over an hour without a TxID, contact OKX support and attach a screenshot of the withdrawal record. If a TxID has been generated but the block explorer shows unconfirmed, wait for network processing; if the block confirmation is done but the recipient hasn't received the funds, contact the receiving platform.

The logic for Lightning Network withdrawals is the same as for regular on-chain withdrawals — the key is to check whether "Processing" is still at the platform's internal stage or already on the network.

Prerequisites

  1. You know the approximate time, amount, and currency (BTC) of this withdrawal.

  2. You can log into your OKX account and view your withdrawal history.

  3. Confirm that the recipient is a Lightning Network Invoice address (starting with "lnbc"), not a regular BTC address.

Step 1: Check the Current Status on the Withdrawal Details Page

Open the OKX app or website, go to AssetsWithdrawal History, find the stuck withdrawal, and tap to view details.

Withdrawal status goes through four stages: Submitted → Pending → In Progress → Completed.

Completion Standard: Confirm exactly which stage your withdrawal is stuck at — "Pending", "In Progress", or "Completed".

Step 2: Handle Each Status Accordingly

Case A: Status is "Pending"

Funds are still queued within the platform and have not been broadcast to the Lightning Network.

  • What to do: Wait. When there are many withdrawal requests, the system processes them in order of submission.

  • How to proceed: Refresh the page to check queue progress. You can cancel the withdrawal at this stage without any loss.

  • Completion Standard: Status changes to "In Progress" or "Completed".

Case B: Status is "In Progress", but No TxID Generated

Funds have been submitted to the Lightning Network but have not yet been confirmed by nodes.

  • What to do: Wait for network processing. Lightning Network usually takes only seconds to minutes.

  • How to proceed: If there is still no TxID after 1 hour, contact online support and attach a screenshot of the withdrawal record.

  • Completion Standard: The page shows a TxID, or the status updates.

Case C: Status is "Completed" and a TxID Is Available

Assets have left the OKX platform and are sent over the Lightning Network.

  • What to do: Use the TxID to check the transaction status on a Lightning Network explorer.

  • How to proceed: If the block explorer shows confirmed but the recipient hasn't credited the funds, contact the receiving platform or wallet support.

  • Completion Standard: Confirm the transaction's on-chain status.

Case D: Status is "Completed", but No TxID Is Shown

In rare cases, a Lightning Network withdrawal succeeds but the record does not display a TxID.

  • What to do: Obtain the TxID through customer support.

  • How to proceed: Contact online support, attach the withdrawal record screenshot and your UID.

  • Completion Standard: Support provides the TxID, or the transaction can be found on-chain.

Step 3: If "Pending" or "In Progress" Lasts Over 1 Hour, Proactively Contact Support

If the status remains "Pending" or "In Progress" for more than 1 hour, use the support channel:

In the App: Go to ProfileSupport Center, type "live agent", and provide the withdrawal currency, amount, time, and UID.

By Email: Send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with the subject "Lightning Network withdrawal stuck in processing + UID", and attach a screenshot of the withdrawal record.

Completion Standard: Support confirms the case has been accepted and informs you of the next steps.

Common Failure Cause

Invoice Expiry Causing Withdrawal to Get Stuck

Lightning Network Invoices default to a 60-minute validity period. If you wait too long after generating the Invoice before initiating the withdrawal on OKX, or if the Invoice expires during the process, the transaction will fail. In this case, the withdrawal record shows "Failed" and funds are returned to your account. Generate a new Invoice when retrying.

Risk Reminders

  • Cannot Be Reversed After "Completed": Once the status changes to "Completed", assets have left the OKX platform and cannot be withdrawn or cancelled by the platform. You can only contact the recipient for resolution.

  • Do Not Submit Repeatedly: Submitting the same request multiple times while in "Processing" may result in duplicate debits. Always confirm the real status of the current withdrawal before taking further action.

  • Manual Review May Be Triggered: Some withdrawals may trigger random manual risk reviews. You need to cooperate and provide the required documents. The process will continue only after the review is complete. During this period, the status will display as "Under Review" instead of the normal "Processing".
