How to Track Team Token Wallets
Start with the token holder distribution on block explorers to find addresses labeled "Team", "Treasury", or "Multisig". Combine unlock calendar alerts with bubble map analysis to map out the entire team-controlled wallet network. The most critical step is distinguishing between "public labels" and "actual on-chain control" — don't trust names alone, trace the transfer relationships between wallets.

Step 1: Find Labeled Team Wallet Addresses on Block Explorers
Goal: Open Etherscan or BscScan, enter the project token's contract address, and locate team-related addresses in the holder list.
How to do it:
On the token detail page, switch to the "Holders" tab and check the top 10–50 addresses by holding amount.
Focus on addresses with blue verified labels or name tags such as "Team", "Treasury", "Foundation", or "Multisig".
Record these addresses — they are typically the project's publicly acknowledged team wallets.
Completion criteria: You have identified at least 3–5 addresses suspected to be team-controlled.
Key reminder: Labels on block explorers are added by project teams or community users and carry no cryptographic verification. An address tagged "Team" is not necessarily a genuine team wallet — it could be a fake label. Cross-verify using the subsequent steps.
Step 2: Use Bubble Map Tools to Uncover Hidden Wallet Networks
Goal: Use Bubblemaps (integrated into Binance Web3 Wallet) to visualize token holder distribution and identify connections between seemingly independent wallets.
How to do it:
On Bubblemaps, enter the token contract address to generate a bubble map. Each bubble represents a wallet, and its size reflects the holding amount.
Use the "Magic Nodes" feature to automatically discover hidden transfer relationships between wallets.
If multiple large wallets show frequent transfers of SOL, ETH, or other tokens — especially with concentrated timing and regular amounts — they are likely controlled by the same entity.
Bubblemaps previously used this method to expose that over 92% of the MELANIA token supply was controlled by team wallets, with ongoing internal selling activity.
Completion criteria: You can map out the connection network between team wallets and confirm which addresses are likely under the same controller.
Step 3: Check Token Unlock Calendars to Anticipate Sell Pressure
Goal: Use Tokenomist, TokenUnlocks, or CryptoRank's unlock calendar to review unlock schedules for the team and early investors.
How to do it:
Go to TokenUnlocks.app or Tokenomist and search for the project token symbol.
Check the "Primary Allocation" field in the unlock records — if it shows "Team", "Core Contributors", or "Investors", the unlocked tokens are coming from the team or early backers.
Pay attention to the unlock percentage: if a single unlock exceeds 1–5% of circulating supply, it qualifies as a "massive unlock" and could bring significant sell pressure.
Completion criteria: You now know the date and amount of the next major team unlock, and roughly which addresses those tokens will flow into.
Step 4: Link "Unlock Events" with "Wallet Activity" for Live Tracking
Goal: Around the unlock date, paste the destination address into a block explorer and monitor its transfer activity in real time.
How to do it:
After the unlock, tokens move from the vesting contract to a designated receiving wallet. Note the "To" address of this transaction.
Under the "Transactions" and "Token Transfers" tabs for that address, closely monitor whether tokens are immediately sent to deposit addresses of centralized exchanges (such as Binance or OKX).
If you observe a large volume of transfers to exchanges within 24 hours of the unlock, the team or investors are likely selling the unlocked tokens.
Completion criteria: You can clearly trace the fund flow path: "Vesting Contract → Team Wallet → Exchange".
Prerequisites
Before you begin tracking, make sure you have the project token's contract address (not just the token name — it must be the contract address starting with 0x). If the token has different contracts across multiple chains, first determine which chain you want to investigate, then use the corresponding block explorer.
Common Reasons for Failure
Focusing only on holder percentages while ignoring on-chain activity: An address holding 10% doesn't necessarily mean "low circulating supply". If that address is a hot wallet continuously depositing to exchanges, the actual sell pressure could be much greater.
Confusing "lockup contracts" with "team wallets": Many projects lock team tokens in smart contracts, but the vesting wallet address is not the same as the team's actual multi-sig wallet. You must distinguish between "lockup contract addresses" and "multi-sig addresses capable of initiating withdrawals".
Mistakenly assuming "unlock = immediate sale": Some unlocks follow a linear (gradual) release schedule. Unlocked tokens may also be used by the team for staking or ecosystem development and may not immediately enter the market.
Risk Warnings
Financial risk: If team wallets continuously deposit to exchanges after unlocks, insiders are cashing out. Using automated tracking tools (such as the Eth Token Explorer bot on Telegram) allows you to receive real-time notifications, which is far more efficient than manual checking.
Account risk: Block explorer queries are read-only operations with no additional security risks.
Compliance risk: None.

Completion Verification Standard
You have successfully identified suspected team wallet addresses from the "Holders" list on a block explorer, and confirmed the connections between these addresses using Bubblemaps. You have found the date and estimated amount of the next unlock, and you understand where these tokens come from and where they are going. Going forward, you can add team wallets to monitoring tools (such as Eth Token Explorer or Arkham) around unlock dates, set price and transfer alerts, and make an informed decision on whether to hold or exit early once notifications arrive.
