Sablier Enters Maintenance Mode: Can You Still Withdraw Unlocked Tokens?

 /

Yes, you can. Sablier Labs entering maintenance mode affects the company and its official web interface, but it does not affect the smart contracts already deployed on-chain. Your unlocked tokens can still be withdrawn through the official interface or by interacting directly with the contracts. The Sablier official blog is very clear: existing streams, vesting schedules, and airdrops "will not change." The company does not custody your tokens, and you "do not need to exit positions early just because of maintenance mode."

Why You Can Still Withdraw Even Though the Company Is Stopping

The key point is that Sablier's contracts are on-chain, permissionless, and non-upgradeable. This means no one—including Sablier itself—can shut down these contracts. Your tokens are not in Sablier's bank account; they are locked in smart contracts. As long as the underlying blockchain network keeps running, the contracts will continue to execute according to their preset logic.

Maintenance mode actually limits new features on the frontend, not withdrawals of existing positions. Starting July 13, 2026, the official interface will no longer accept new vesting schedules or airdrops with an end date later than June 2028, and it will not support creating perpetual streams. But withdrawing already unlocked tokens is not within the restricted scope.

How to Withdraw

If you are on an EVM chain (Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, etc.): Keep using the official Sablier interface. The official statement says you can "continue to claim, withdraw, and manage them through the official interface," and the interface and backend infrastructure will remain reliably operational until June 2028. Open the interface, connect your wallet, find your relevant stream or vesting schedule, and follow the normal withdrawal process.

If you are on Solana: The situation is slightly different. Solana's official interface already shut down full functionality on June 30, 2026, but a lightweight claim app remains available. According to Sablier's documentation, the Solana app now only supports connecting a wallet, viewing vested Lockup NFTs, and withdrawing. It no longer supports creating new streams or canceling existing ones. If you have unclaimed Sablier tokens on Solana, withdraw them through this lightweight app or by interacting directly with the Solana program.

Things to Keep in Mind

Maintenance mode itself does not stop you from withdrawing, but there is one date worth noting: June 2028. This is the deadline Sablier Labs has committed to keeping the interface and backend reliably running. After that, the interface is expected to be handed over to the community and may continue as an open-source public good. This does not mean your tokens will disappear in June 2028—the contracts will still be on-chain—but if you are used to using the official interface, its availability and form may change at that point. If your vesting schedule unlocks across June 2028, knowing this in advance is safer than trying to find an entry point later.

Also, Sablier's core contracts have already been open-sourced ahead of time (the license changed from BUSL to GPL). This means even if the official interface has problems in the future, the community can build alternative interfaces on top of the same contracts. The contracts themselves have no "expiration" mechanism.

What You Should Do Now

Open the Sablier official interface, connect the wallet you originally used to create or receive streams, and check the status of your vesting schedules or streams. If it shows a withdrawable amount, follow the normal process to withdraw. You do not need to take extra actions or exit early just because of the maintenance mode news. If you are on Solana, make sure you are using the lightweight claim entry point, not the already-closed full interface.
