A small test transfer that never arrives is most likely stuck at the "on-chain confirmation" stage or at the compliance checks before the exchange credits your account. You can use the transaction hash (TxID) to check its current status on a block explorer. Different statuses indicate where the process is stuck. First, get the TxID from your wallet or exchange transfer history, then look it up on the block explorer for the correct blockchain. Based on the status shown, you can figure out where it's stuck:

Status 1: Transaction not found on-chain
This means the transaction hasn't been broadcast to the blockchain network yet. If it's an exchange withdrawal, contact exchange support to verify. If it's a wallet transfer, check the network and miner fee, then try again.
Status 2: On-chain shows "Pending"
The transaction is still waiting in the mempool to be picked up by miners. This usually happens because the miner fee was set too low or the network is congested. You can wait for network load to decrease, or use your wallet's "speed up" feature to increase the gas fee and rebroadcast the transaction.
Status 3: On-chain shows "Success" but exchange balance hasn't changed
This is the most common stuck point. The transaction succeeded on-chain, but the exchange's risk/compliance review isn't finished yet, or the required number of confirmations hasn't been reached. You need to:
Make sure the receiving address and network match exactly what's shown on the deposit page
Contact exchange support, provide the TxID and a deposit screenshot, and ask them to manually check the credit status
Risk reminder: If the on-chain status shows "Success" but you mistakenly think it hasn't arrived and send another transfer, you might end up sending funds twice. Always rely on what the block explorer shows, not just your wallet balance.
Common failure reasons
The biggest pitfall is pasting the TxID into the wrong block explorer — a BSC TxID must be checked on BscScan, an ETH one on Etherscan. Using the wrong explorer will show "transaction not found." Another common issue is a changed exchange deposit address. You may have copied an old address without checking the latest one on the deposit page, so your small test transfer was sent to a deprecated address.

Next steps
Take the TxID and check the status on the correct block explorer. If it shows "Success" but the exchange hasn't credited your account, prepare these four things before contacting support: TxID, deposit amount, deposit coin, and deposit network. This helps support quickly locate your transaction.
