How to Deposit AVAX to Binance? Address and Network Verification Guide

When depositing AVAX to Binance, selecting the correct network is the very first critical step. Avalanche has 3 separate chains: X-Chain, P-Chain, and C-Chain, and Binance only supports AVAX deposits via the C-Chain. If you send funds to the wrong chain, your assets will not be credited to your account automatically.

1. Confirm You Are Using the Correct C-Chain for Deposit

What to do: Confirm the network you plan to use before initiating any transfer. AVAX deposits to Binance can only be processed through the Avalanche C-Chain.

How to do it:

The Avalanche network has 3 distinct chains with different use cases:

• C-Chain (Contract Chain): Supports smart contracts, is EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) compatible, and is the only valid channel for Binance AVAX deposits.
• X-Chain (Exchange Chain): Designed for sending and receiving funds, addresses start with "X-avax", Binance does not support deposits via this chain.
• P-Chain (Platform Chain): Used for staking and validator management, addresses start with "P-avax", Binance does not support deposits via this chain.

Binance only supports AVAX deposits via the C-Chain. If you send funds via the X-Chain or P-Chain, the transaction will not be automatically credited to your Binance account.

Completion check: You have confirmed that you must select the C-Chain for your deposit, and will not use the X-Chain or P-Chain.

Prerequisite: Your Binance account has completed KYC verification.

Common failure reason: Many users see the generic "Avalanche network" option and select the default X-Chain, but Binance only recognizes C-Chain transfers. Selecting the wrong chain is the most common cause of failed AVAX deposits.

2. Get Your C-Chain AVAX Deposit Address on Binance

What to do: Log into Binance, navigate to the AVAX deposit page, select the Avalanche C-Chain network, and retrieve your dedicated deposit address.

How to do it:

1. Log into the Binance app or web platform, go to [Wallets] - [Deposit].
2. Search for "AVAX" and select Avalanche (AVAX) from the results.
3. Select network: Choose Avalanche C-Chain. Binance's C-Chain AVAX deposit channel has been available since 2021.
4. The page will display your unique C-Chain deposit address, copy it. C-Chain addresses are fully compatible with EVM wallets, and follow the same format as Ethereum addresses.

Note: AVAX deposits to Binance do not require a Memo, only the wallet address is needed.

Completion check: You have obtained your Binance AVAX C-Chain deposit address, and confirmed the selected network is explicitly Avalanche C-Chain.

Prerequisite: Your Binance account has completed KYC verification.

Common failure reason: Binance's deposit page may show other network options for AVAX (such as BEP20), but you must only select Avalanche C-Chain to avoid losing funds.

3. Initiate the C-Chain Transfer From Your Sending Platform

What to do: Paste the Binance C-Chain deposit address in the wallet or exchange that holds your AVAX, then initiate the transfer. The sending platform must also be set to the Avalanche C-Chain network.

How to do it:

Withdraw from an on-chain wallet:

1. Open your wallet (e.g. MetaMask, Core Wallet), and confirm the current active network is Avalanche C-Chain. Core Wallet natively supports all 3 Avalanche chains: X, P, and C.
2. Paste the Binance deposit address you copied earlier.
3. Confirm the gas fee amount and submit the transaction.

Withdraw from another exchange:

1. Log into the platform you are sending AVAX from, select AVAX as the withdrawal asset.
2. Paste your Binance C-Chain deposit address.
3. You must select Avalanche C-Chain as the withdrawal network.
4. Submit your withdrawal request.

Completion check: Your transfer has been submitted, and you have the unique TxID (transaction ID) for the operation.

Prerequisite: The sending address has sufficient AVAX balance to cover the transfer amount and required gas fees.

Common failure reason: The sending platform is set to X-Chain or P-Chain, but your Binance deposit address is a C-Chain address. Mismatched networks will result in funds not being credited. Double check the network name before you submit the transfer.

4. Confirm Transaction Status Via Snowtrace

What to do: Once you have your TxID, check the transaction status on the official Avalanche block explorer Snowtrace to confirm it shows "Success", then return to Binance to verify the deposit is credited.

How to do it:

1. Open the official Snowtrace block explorer at snowtrace.io.
2. Paste your TxID to look up the transaction details:

• Status: Must show Success
• Number of confirmations: Binance typically requires a minimum of 25 network confirmations before crediting the deposit to your account

1. After confirming the transaction is successful on-chain, go back to Binance [Wallets] - [Deposit History] to check your deposit status. C-Chain transactions process very fast, and funds are usually credited within a few minutes to 15 minutes.

Completion check: Your AVAX balance is updated and visible in your Binance account.

Prerequisite: You have submitted the transfer and obtained the corresponding TxID.

Common failure reason: AVAX runs on its own independent public chain, you cannot use Etherscan or BSCScan to look up AVAX transactions, you must use the Avalanche explorer Snowtrace.
